Storage by camper layout
Rooftop-tent vehicles often have more equipment space below. Inside sleepers can keep belongings easier to reach, but beds take up room. Check compartment openings and the storage available with the beds set up. Ask the depot staff where bags can be secured while driving.
In our luggage comparison, the Toyota Canopy offers relatively generous space, the four-berth Hilux is in the middle, and the Britz Safari has less room. The exact layout matters, so we check bulky luggage against the quoted model.
Packing recommendations
- Choose soft luggage where practical, using packing cubes to keep essentials together.
- Keep frequently used items reachable without dismantling the bed.
- Leave room for the supplied camping kit, groceries and drinking water.
- Ask us what you may carry and how to secure it while driving.
Boards, bikes and other bulky gear
Include board lengths, packed bag dimensions and the number of travelers in your inquiry. We will check internal storage or an approved exterior carrier for your camper. Any included rack should appear in your offer.
Leaving suitcases behind?
Ask the collection branch whether luggage storage is available and how you collect it afterwards. Some depots store bags but do not forward them to another depot, hotel or home. That matters on a one-way trip.
